Whether a crash involving a car and another vehicle or a car and a pedestrian, deadly collisions are far too common in Texas. In one crash, a young man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Guadalupe County on State Highway 123 North. The man was walking home when he was hit and killed by a gray vehicle in the southbound lane.
Rather than stop and render assistance, the driver of the gray car left the scene of the accident. A reward was posted in hopes of obtaining information leading to the arrest of the driver of the car.
In Lubbock County, yet another crash took the life of one individual and injured two others. A 2022 Chevrolet Equinox was heading south on North County Road 1700. The weather was clear, and the road was dry. The Equinox diver crossed the center line into the north lane, colliding with another vehicle with two occupants.
The Equinox driver and the driver of the other vehicle were treated for minor injuries. The passenger in the other vehicle was transported for medical care but died in hospital.
