Like many of you, my family spent part of the Father’s Day Weekend boating. While we were out, we saw a number of concerning things: people jumping off of cliffs (without life jackets, of course)
According to the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration, over 2.5 million people are injured and over 40,000 killed each year on our nation’s roadways. Sadly, Texas accounts for almost ten percent of the nation’s fatalities from auto accidents and car wrecks. At Schuelke Law, we have successfully represented numerous individuals in auto accident claims. And unlike many attorneys who handle a high volume of car wrecks in a “mill” practice, we strive to represent only a few individuals and provide them the best service possible.
Dog bites are often the result of the owner’s negligence. When an owner fails to uphold their duty of care, you can pursue a claim for compensation.
Premises liability claims — claims made when you are injured by a dangerous condition on property — are very difficult. It seems that every year, the Texas Supreme Court is throwing up more and more roadblocks to defeat these claims. But we continue to fight for those injured in premises liability claims. For example, we recently resolved a case where the client’s prior lawyer had sat on the case for almost ten years. By pushing the case and hiring good experts, we were able to achieve what we thought was an excellent recovery.
Brooks Schuelke is an Austin, Texas personal injury lawyer who has extensive experience in serious personal injury litigation. None of our work better reflects our mission of “HOLDING WRONGDOERS ACCOUNTABLE” than our work on behalf of personal injury victims.
Each year, over 500,000 tractor-trailers or “semis” are involved in auto accidents. These trucking accidents often result in serious or catastrophic injuries or fatalities. If you or a loved one has sustained serious personal injuries from a tractor-trailer accident, please call us.
If you are injured in an on-the-job injury, you need to speak to a lawyer immediately. Unlike other types of injury claims, on-the-job injuries are affected by the Texas Worker’s Compensation Statutes, and therefore have different rules. Unfortunately, you may unwittingly prejudice yourself and ruin potential claims by accepting different types of benefits your employer offers. If you think your employer was negligent in creating the danger that injured you, do not accept the benefits until you have spoken to a lawyer.
We know that traumatic losses, those that are unexpected and caused by others, are much more painful and cause these emotions to be heightened than the loss of a loved one through natural causes.
